Finally getting back to this. While some parts are good enough that I want to finish it, there are some very dubious and pedestrian parts. Some sections are reminiscent of those people who thinks being eccentric is a suitable substitute for a personality. Especially damning is the section on mental health, which tries to separate its ‘cool eccentric gnostic madness’ from actual mental illness or neurodiversity.

Light LEAKS through the CRACKS. My mind is BRIGHTER than it EVER was. THE HIGHER I RISE THE MORE I SEE.

Fascinating and strange, I am intrigued and wish to know more.

An interesting book. I myself am a devout Christian, though of a different flavor than most, and probably not the intended audience. That said at times I found myself agreeing with Mr. Jones in principle, even if my conclusions lead to a different place. A thought provoking work to be sure and worth a read. Come for the Cthulhu, stay for the insight. You won't be disappointed.
