jeff's story, ah I can guess it's going to be a heart breaker

I just don't get their reactions. Damian seems to go hard and mean when he's emotionally invested and Jeff seems to lash out when he's wrong, but get meek when he has a reason to be upset.

Damian seems to have lied for month, and Jeff doesn't even ask him about it, confront him? He just argues himself down.

Why would he gloat about the punishment he doles out? I sweat, I keep finding new lows for that guy.

"Damian is enjoying this far too much.", indeed.

Startling someone awake and then penalize them for swearing in an unconscious reaction is a pretty asshole move.

I just don't get the domestic discipline aspect. I seems very much a parent-child dynamic, and not in the sexy Daddy/boy way. I don't know all that much about it and the book is not selling it well. I just don't see what Jeff is supposed to get out of it, compared to some house rules and a normal routine. That sounds a lot more healthy with the added bonus of not treating him like a kid.

Damian sounds more like a controlling father-figure every page. It's kinda awkward, knowing this will turn sexual at some point. Hell, both of Jeff's employers report to Damian on his progress. He knows them personally, true, but it's still off putting to me.

We're half-way in and I just don't see the relationship between the two. They're also only just started talking about domestic discipline.
