Dialogue still isn't working for me and soooo much repetition. Lena can SMELL the energy (presumably refering to Mariko's psychic strength)? Not a flattering sensory thing to choose.

Overall good surface level plot but I'm not getting a lot of emotional depth to the characters. They continue to just serve the plot imo.

Typo? We've been on October 31 for several chapters and now we're on October 10th? Doesn't look like a flashback sequence with the context of this page I skimmed.

Hard to get to in the beginning. The stiff dialogue, and movie logic are mark downs for me but the action is picking up! Prose could use some work. There are flickers of greatness though it is overall very plain and unnecessarily repetative. Does make this an easy read though.
