Status Updates From Emergent (Annex, #2)

Weds 052825 - VH1 Dining Table - Just finished reading my 3rd novel by Rachel Cohn, my self-care gift to me to indulge in finishing this book. I’m going to check out some of her other books. I hope she writes another for this series someday. It’s looking nicer outside as the rain is drying out so I plan to spend some quality time in the yard picking up sticks again before Larry gets home from work around 530 pm.

Weds 052825 - 36 ORD relaxing in my bed reading - Stitch is snuggling w/me & helping me fully immerse in reading this book. The story has taken some big twists & turns I wasn’t expecting so it’s been very interesting to read. I’ve been more tired the last few days after all our fun entertaining over the Memorial Day holiday weekend so taking some downtime yesterday & today has felt essential for self care.

Tues 052725 - 36 ORD Downstairs w/Stitch - I relaxed downstairs w/Stitch cuddling & purring up a storm laying on me after lunch & some chores. Now that I’ve gotten back into reading this book it is quite a page turner. It’s been an overcast day so far w/a power outage here. Larry is working late. Stitch is still being quite a cuddly fur baby. We had a full weekend of entertaining - so much fun having Ethan home!

Tues 052725 - 36 ORD Dining Table - Dove back into this for a bit in my quiet time after my Mom & Ethan headed home. It’s a fast paced story & won’t take too long to be finished. It’s a good sequel to Beta though I’m not yet sure if I like it as much as the first. It’s been good to immerse in some fiction for a little while before focusing on some chores & help be less lonely now that the visit is over.

Fri 051625 - VH1 Glass Table w/Lucy - I read last night while enjoying some Raspberry Bubly on craft ice after we returned from Justin’s Goodwille concert in Grand Rapids before the big storm & Tornado Warning came. I ate too fast or too much at dinner before we went, or combined w/the heat of the cafeteria for the concert, & my stomach was feeling unsettled. So good to see Justin’s band.

Tues 051325 - VH1 Glass Table w/Lucy napping on her window hammock - I couldn’t resist starting the Beta sequel after just finishing it. This is going to be a good read too. Planning to enjoy working out w/Alli after 4 when she gets home from subbing & I’m taking the kids to The Lakehouse in Muskegon this evening at 645 pm for dinner. It’s great to have this Mother’s Day week in Spring Lake to savor & enjoy.

I don't know how much I've read because there aren't any page numbers listed but I'm about 4 chapters in... 🤦🏻‍♀️
