(Finished — December 29th, at 2:01 PM — Chapter 52–73 & Epilogue) This is one of my favorite books that I've read this year. It's been a while since I've been so satisfied by a story. And my theory was right! But there were so many unexpected aspects to everything, it was amazing. AND the next book is exactly what I'd hoped for! I literally cheered (quietly). I'll absolutely be buying it!! :"]

(December 28th — Chapter 37–51) I'm still waiting to see if either of my theories about what might have happened to her is correct, but at least we got that other thing sorted out! Man, I was worried for a minute. T^T Also, I love Charles, but he should definitely work on himself a bit. lol

(December 27th — Chapter 27–36) Such a great romance. Immensely satisfying (so far), and I love all of the psychological and emotional aspects that it deals with. (Just lots of "mature content," so prepare for that. lol)

(December 24th — Chapter 19–26) Oohhh nelly. That was intense. lol

(December 22 — Chapter 15–18)

(Prologue & Ch.1–14) My word, this is just what I needed and hoped for!! I would read the entire thing in one go, if I could, but I have to sleep. It’s rare that I find a book that I love so thoroughly and in such a way. :”D

Some characters introduced that have been previously mentioned. Jealousy and misunderstandings continue. With friends like Georginna who needs gossiping neighbors.

The story started off with great action and loved the action of stealing Brandon away from his "captors" then the stoooorrrrryyyyy hhhhasssss sssssloooowed. (Dramatic effect)

I have been busy and not much time to listen to this book. I don't usually listen to books with alternating readers. Not really sure the point of them. Plot moving a bit slowly.

Ok these Poldark vibes are strong--and yes I've only seen the BBC series, sorry Winston Graham. Just like with Demelza & Ross, it seems like Justine deserves WAY better than to be stuck holding together Brandon the Bitter Asshat. Honestly curious if he can make me like him, so that might keep me going. 🫠
