Having a difficult time with this story. The history is just not so good. I don't think women's clothing were referred to as "tops" in 1888. This story reads as modern day, not historical at all. This usually doesn't bother me if its just a couple of off handed sentences, but this is all modern day language. Sigh.... I will give it a little longer but its not look good for me.
