I enjoy the writing. I like Crow. I like the whole Alpha male thing. Unfortunately, Leslie is annoying and I can’t abide annoying heroines. And not only is she annoying, her internal monologue is defeatist and she refuses to communicate, so she just stay stubborn and resistant. I hate this kind of conflict. It feels manufactured and unrealistic. Oh, he won’t understand, so I’m just going to keep fighting him.

I read the first book years and years ago. Loved it. Was disappointed that the rest of the series never got translated into English but I did get this second book. Recently remembered I have it, so am reading it now. The men are very unapologetically alpha. I’m okay with that.
