Idk, may reread this. You see I read this as a child and I remember feeling someway about it. I preferred reading African American novels. As I moved from my culture to a predominantly white city, I couldn't relate to many novels anymore, so this, still African American, novel was different and closer to me. I don't even think it was good but it was written unlike the others.
