When people today complain about artists not getting paid enough, I think they're often comparing streaming profits to the CD profits of the late 90s. And there is not going to be any comparison with half a billion in CD sales caused by monopolies and backdoor deals. Artists didn't see enough of that money then, and they certainly won't now with less total profit unless the record execs take a cut. And they won't.

I don't like how biased this book is. I agree with the anti-Republican standpoint, and I am definitely not a supporter of the Iraq war....but these things are not necessary inclusions for a book about music piracy.
