tbh some of this feels a little repetitive and i think its kind of lame that chase focuses entirely on logic and semantics at the expense of appreciating like the thistory and the very cool diversity that exists in languages. like theres a v anglocentric little passage where he offhandedly talks about one of those supposed universal languages (thats based on english)
