Status Updates From The Global Airline Industry...

I'm having a great time learning about the airline industry! Belobaba et. al. presents an interesting discussion on how new security measures are implemented (Ch. 11), and how airports are designed to satisfy specific local needs (Ch. 12).

I'm looking forward to learning about environmental and IT issues in the remaining few chapters!

I've read the first 7 of 16 chapters. My goal is to finish by the end of April. So far, I've enjoyed the discussion of pricing & revenue management, and of the airline planning process. I found the chapter on schedule optimization to be difficult to comprehend, but I hope to revisit it. I am looking forward to reading the discussion on airports, and on information technology!
