And this is my first DNF of the year, sadly. I so wanted to like this book, because I’m keen to find a new series to enjoy. Unfortunately, I mostly want to slap the protagonist for being profoundly annoying, and I can’t stick out an entire book like that.

Too many stupid typos. Beckon call instead of beck and call, y instead of by, accept instead of except. I think this would've been a better audiobook. The story is entertaining but the glaring errors just take me right out of the story.

DNF @ 78%. I keep struggling, don't care for the narrative style/MC. Got other things on my list I'd rather read
