Status Updates From Motor City Love Song: A Novel

I really liked the POV shift so that we could better understand Paloma, but the cheating/secret child reveal is a big ol nope for me. It’s not that we can’t explore the idea but I think it’s important to think about how this feeds into broader narratives about bi women being cheaters. It just feels like the author needed to have a deeper reason to justify Paloma leaving and didn’t think if it was logical.

I am so damn annoyed by Paloma! Ugh! I want to be sensitive to what she has gone through but to be this old though and be THIS dramatic? lol I can’t deal

I'm honestly relieved that I've made it this far without some overblown s*x scene and we have an actual plot.

Plus, I grew up in Michigan, so they keep talking about a whole bunch of stuff I recognize.
