Status Updates From The palace of eros

Not sure how I feel about this one. Not very exciting so far. It seems like the main body of the story is starting now (70 pages in!) so maybe things will pick up.
I think what is missing for me is any meaningful character interaction. All of the characters feel quite surface level.

While initially thinking this book is beautifully written, the prose and descriptions quickly turned tenuous and repetitive. The story has a lot of potential, but I found it falling flat in some areas. I would have preferred more world-building, a better understanding of the context for the story. The town. The villagers. Mount Olympus. Eros’s chapters were much too short, leaving much to be desired.
