i loved these books so much as a kid i once got grounded for reading them under the table during thanksgiving dinner

I’m really bored reading this. I don’t care about any of these characters. This plot is just all over the place and we no longer hear anything about the cool magic house. Does this ever get better? Someone tell me it gets better please

Ah yes, the good old “as you know” speech, made by the main character who has just learned this information five minutes ago offscreen to a powerful immortal denizen hundreds of years old who already knows this information but is throwing a temper tantrum 🙄 And there’s apparently a magical artifact called a “fetish” and the main character just asked someone what their fetish is. 🙃

Im a little distracted reading this, but i love how its written. Everythinf is so very different than what you expect, nothing as it seems!
