Status Updates From Princeweaver

“Faina threw the second, concealed strawberry without remorse or hesitation… Osian caught the offending fruit with a calm, easy movement… The prince presented the startled fruit to his startled consort…” How can a fruit be a startled though? Besides me being startled to read this, obv.

I feel like the beautiful writing of the first quarter or so has gotten pretty sloppy. Things like feeling echoes, tasting visuals, descriptors like “russet-green”—things that just don’t make sense. To me, anyway. Hoping the writing recovers as the story is still interesting🤞🤞

I did not expect to enjoy this book as much as I am. The romance, the tension, the mystery. I’m completely butchering the Welsh names but having fun all the same!

Okay, I am reeeeally enjoying this one. No clue what we’re heading toward, but the world is interesting and I like the characters
