Love all the insights, both personal & historical. Like the fact that Feste, the Fool, & Lavatch were played by an actor named Robert Armin in Shakespeare's time, who took over for Will Kempe in 1600. And that's when the clowns went from being the rustic servant with a lot of slapstick & dancing thrown in to more sardonic, philosophical, & world-weary. Shakespeare was writing to the strengths of the different actors.
