Loved the reference to Anne of the Island in the story It's a Wonderful Latte--the Mansfield Park reimagining

I only started reading this e-book because I was out of town and finished my library book sooner than I thought I would. I had downloaded this book last year when it was a freebie. I have to say, I'm glad I started reading it! The short stories are sweet and romantic. Perfect for a fan of Hallmark Christmas movies and Jane Austen.

Loving this collection.

Starting A Tale of Three Christmases by Rebecca Fleming. This one is a S&S based one.

Finished the 2nd story Mischief and Mistletoe. I can't say too much on it since I have never read Northanger Abbey (I know I fail being an Austenite here) but I was able to see some interstory connections starting. It wasn't much but the little that was there was cool.

Finished story 1 The Work of An Instant. It was a Persuasion based one which are hard to find. I really enjoyed it and would give it 5 stars. Now time for the next one.

6) Pride & Presents by Kinberly Truesdale: ends at 98%
This was the P&P variation with a few ethnic changes that made for a delightful story. The basic threads were there, with characters keeping with their canon behaviors and intents. Collins and Wickham were evil and Darcy had to come to the rescue.

5) It's a Wonderful Latte by Jessica Grey: end at 79%
This was a mash-up of It's a Wonderful Life meets Mansfield Park. Instead of the angel Clarence [sent to help George Bailey], we have Jane Austen being sent on assignment to help our heroine with a life issue of her own.

4) With Love, From Emma: by Cecilia Gray: ends at 63%
This modern Emma was delightful. We have Emma making a West & Taylor match and she turns her sights on Elton and Harriet. However, their interests are somewhere else and she misses it completely. I love the Mr. Knightley character. The changes from canon does not hurt the story.
