Another huge point of frustration…Why would Rook Thomas order the killing of Odette when she could be used as a hostage??? Oh I suppose to shoehorn in the inevitable plot twist of Pawn Clements deciding not to, which is what surely will happen next? Truly, this book took a turn for the worst once I learned who “The Antagonist” is… 🤦♀️

They’re discussing the deliquesced body and it is so frustrating to me that they immediately didn’t think of Gestalt. I knew right away, and aren’t these folks who are in these super secret, elite organizations supposed to be, well, elite? How they’re breaking it all down and over explaining everything makes it seem like this book was written for a child, and it most certainly was not.
