I was so excited for a memoir that combined culture and a love of food. As I started reading, I thought maybe I had misinterpreted what the book would be about. I found the layout and lack of chapters to be confusing and I really struggled to connect and feel invested in the story because of that confusion. I am dnf-ing but thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this gifted copy.
