The way some contemporary romances are written get on my nerves, it's like they're not even trying anymore. Not every book needs a beautiful prose and not every author is capable of writing that well, and that's okay. However I hate that it feels like it was written in one afternoon and using such basic language it could have been a conversation between teenagers, not a book that is supposed to make me feel things
