Status Updates From Witch of the Shadow Wood

i like it so far

Part 1 completed.
Part one was good but I don’t know if the characters’ motivations are very strong. Miria is motivated to cure this illness because of… her sisters she’s never met? That’s what I get from it at least. She’s generally a kind character but I think the author is trying to make her present self more jaded.

the feminism is a bit spoon fed which makes this feel like it’s for younger readers who have just learned about patriarchy

So far so good I just wish the author would stop spoon feeding me

The first chapter really hooked me but these last two lost me a bit. Something about the writing style is just making it seem so slow and not intriguing. It’s the start of the book so I’m not too pressed about it being slow but it’s a bit on the nose in terms of plot so far as well.
