Remembering the Hound’s reference to my name, I asked, “As in silver?”
“As in shut the hell up,” rumpled Sterling shot back. He seemed annoyed, but not cruel.”

The most underwhelming introduction, I really hope this isn’t her future lover.

”The Hound on the passenger side cranked the lever on his seat to make it recline into my personal space.” 🤨

She’s “panicking” that they but her in martial arts, says “I suck at physical stuff”, “I just don’t want anyone punching and kicking me, you know? I like my teeth and nose perfectly straight and my bones completely unbroken.”
But also ”Science had finally surpassed hard work. The best jobs? The best bodies? The best minds? They all belonged to the genetically-altered Sophisticates.” Yeah right…

Arrives late and isn’t very quick to say yes and apparently there are propaganda videos of the Sophisticates who’d been punished for not following rules or not meeting the expected standards. So why hasn’t she gotten punished? (2/2)

So she’s going on and on about then being the best of the best- how “a lifetime in the Program had forced me to bear the situation, any situation, with calm detachment” but is trowing a fit quite often. (1/2)
