First third was really good- fast paced and interesting
Wasn’t able to

Slowed down in pace and increased in time covered of narrative
Jumped between past and present of different characters previously introduced in 1/3

3/3 was slower paced
Focused on Ava the offspring of couple introduc in 1st 3rd
Started to bore me by this point in narrative
Forcing myself to not set book aside rn

Does so in conjunction with aspects sci fi horror regarding the ethics and repercussions of genetic modification, genetic engineering and human pregnancies.

Takes current legislation in the USA regarding abortions, pro-life, birth control access etc to their logical near future extremes if they continue on their current trajectory.

Demonstrating the real life horror these women face as well as the emotional trauma, physical trauma and medical issues resulting from these kinds of laws.

Feeling grateful that I only had to pay an ambulance fee of 45$ due to the Canadian health care plans and put in place by federal government.
