I've had this book for awhile. I won it from a Goodreads Giveaway. Since I've been having so much trouble with my eyes, I had to give up reading for awhile. I'm getting back into it as I read for 10-12 minutes while I exercise on the elliptical four days a week. A book as fast-paced as this one makes the time fly by! I'm almost finished. It's a really good YA novel.

Ai yi yi. I like me some family drama but this one is relentless. Actually, no, what truly removed me from the story was the ridiculous lack of emotional and interpersonal awareness on the part of authority figures. Why do they even question, "If it was so bad, why didn't he leave?" Didn't they pay attention in DV awareness class? Irritating and unbelievable, the amount of stagnant emotion dullards in this book.

I've just started this yesterday August 6, 2014. So far, it's interesting though a bit slow in starting. I'm just now getting a handle on Steven though. I'll review this completely when I'm done.
