I’ve barely even scratched the surface, but damn I love Marshall Thornton

I tried to convince myself that I'd let him blow me because of the trauma I'd recently experienced.

“It was gift,” I lied. “From my favorite aunt. It has sentimental value.”
Harlan shook his head. “Nobody’s that sentimental.”

It was a pretty average kind of place. Except it wasn’t. When I looked closer, I could see that the body language was different. It was like every guy in the room was a hungry lion looking to pounce. Only there weren’t any gazelles. These lions pounced on each other. Maybe it was a more dangerous place than it seemed.

He smirked a little more and said, "In the dark all cats are black."
"By this logic, I might as well fuck you," I pointed out.
"I ain't a cat," he replied.
"No, you're snake," I hissed.
"My point exactly. Who wants to fuck a snake?"

Then she took the cherry out of her drink and ate it in a way little girls shouldn't.

After starting and putting aside the countless number of books, without any luck, it struck me that I have one book left by MT that I haven't yet read...

Uh... this is m/m... right?

I love when a book ends with a beginning. My imagination is permitted to continue the story however I please. :D

That was my favorite scene so far. It read like a movie and, despite the deadly circumstances, I found myself smiling. Harlan is cheeky, and Ricky is finding himself unable to fight his humanistic side.

Well now, this just took a turn, and I don't think either character even understands or knows what's in store.

Gritty, dusty, dank, surreal here and there, and I can picture it all.

I do love me some Thornton. I never know where things might go.

Ahh, the 70's. Harlan and Don are talking about Grand Funk Railroad, Edgar Winter, the Carpenters, Wings and Donny Osmond. Good times ..... good times!

Harlan - fascinating to me.

Heading off to Palm Springs the end of this week. Interesting to get Marshall Thornton's take on 1970's era Palm Springs.
