This reminded me of something very similar that I said to a friend who was going through a very devastating event and she felt so unmoored in life. We were both crying then I told her “I know life is very difficult, but it is also very joyful. You just have to fight through the hard parts but there are so many things that make life worth living for”

I don’t agree that there’s no such thing as fate. There’s just so many variables in life that’s completely out of our control to say that everything is a result of our actions/decisions
