I'm determined to finish this and start Rainchill tomorrow. I won't be updating, since I always try to take an internet break on Sunday, but I'll be back on Monday.

Zsofi Molnar was really an important part of this book. I was really driven by her inner conflict and how natural it felt to write her even though she was nothing like me.
I haven't done anything with her since this book. I'm not sure how, or if she'll reappear in the series. But she sure was something in Lightwaste. She brought out things in Halcyon we wouldn't have seen otherwise, too.

You might not notice it in book one, but Halcyon doesn't tolorate a lot of nonsense. She definitely comes up against that in this book. She's got a problem--she needs to find out who she is, literally. All her world can think about is how to rein her in and make her who they want her to be.
Well, there are some other motives too, but--spoilers!

Yikes. Why is this book so much easier to read than book one?
Also, I love how important Clive Shepherd became. When I started the series, I didn't realize how essential he was going to be.

The only reason it took me so long to finish was because of some technical glitches that took forever to figure out. Silly Amazon! (Also silly me who kept trying to solve the problem on her own when apparently Amazon tech support was able to figure it out in a two minute phone call...who knew?)
*hugs book* *slaps certain characters with it* *goes back to waiting impatiently for the next one*

A book where I want the answers to my questions so badly and am deeply concerned about what complications are lurking in the shadows but also don't feel at all like rushing because I just want to savor every moment...
Also a book with characters that make me smile and laugh without trying to and where I feel like I can see literally everything, even though I'm not that great with descriptions...
This is BLISS. :)
