I finished the I Am Legend portion of the book; what an odd, intense, and yet sometimes self-involved dissolving of Robert Neville’s humanity to reveal the ending. It was pretty fast paced until Part 2, and then picked up again in Part 3. I’d say it’s being held as a horror classic makes sense. In my opinion though, Robert Neville probably has some problems before the plague, and it only amplified them.
