Status Updates From A Hemorrhage of Us

I feel there needs to be a repass of some editing, especially being a debut book. That’s my main caveat with this, thus why it’s taking me a while to finish it and stay hooked. I like the story so far!

I think a combination of poor pacing an lack of tension are why I will not be continuing with this read. Nothing much seemed to happen in the first 10% and if I’m not interested by then I will not complete the read.

This book is incredibly dull so far. Nothing is happening. This is a lot of setup for something that I don’t yet care about. She mentions her old town a lot, and how awful her parents were to her, and how her brother is the golden boy who ran away and then came back and then left again without explanation and I guess theres allusions to the house being haunted and some spirit in the woods but wow is it dull.
