GENRE: The genre of my book is historical Non-fiction. I know that my book is Historical Non-fiction because it's talking about the Declaration of Independence. The author is telling me about the lines in it and breaking the meanings down even more. He is telling me how "All men are created equal", is only referring to Free Men, not woman, no slaves, and nobody that doesn't own property,

I am listening to this book. I had to stop listening to the news-- it upset me too much. So far, this book elevates the idea of America& makes me think of concepts that I wasn't aware of. It is rooted in philosophy & will likely make me read other books. I have always thought that writing about some other piece of writing is derivative but I have changed my mind. There is so much to unpack here.20
