Yes I only skimmed the 30 page introduction that mainly focused on the grueling details and nuance of translating Chinese poetry. To quote the author himself “How much of this information can a reader be expected to tolerate? Equally important, how much of it will really do him any good?”.
I know that translation isn’t perfect - just show me the poems dude 😭
