OMG I missed this world so much! The Nanny's Handbook was one of my favorite 5-star reads from last year, and I am completely loving this couple's dynamic so far! It feels like I'm reading about magical Bridgerton and I love getting to read about how each of them feel about what's going on and that neither of them are completely oblivious to the situation at hand

I hate to say it but I’m not a huge fan of this book. I have 3 complaints: I don’t like the writing style, there are repetitions and unnecessary narration; the magic elements are under explored so whimsy is undermined; the historical facts and era is extremely inaccurate and the atmosphere of the time period is not built well.
I like the characters individually, no chemistry between love interests.
