Brilliant. OMG. I know these people. I worked at a center based program for 28 years. I know my non speakers were brilliant. My life is better because of them. Being the odd duck that I am I was appreciated. They knew I could never be as smart as they were. Perfect pitch, trigonometry, memory.

conveniently found out that i now have access to barnes and noble's giant online ARC platform the day that they sent out an internal memo about this book! i can read books that aren't gonna be out for 6 months! i feel so powerful! anyway the story behind this book is so cool
