I wish there were illustrations /photos

I don't know what I think of this. It has the meandering quality of mixed personal memoir and the reconstruction of a life history through modern eyes. Queer lives matter, obviously but so much of the historical context dumped into the text alongside observations of 21st century children on a train...? It reads like the first draft of a thesis and would have benefited from editing.
