I finished I Have No Mouth & I Must Scream. It is certainly interesting, but it's been hyped up as one of the most disturbing stories ever by people around me and online. It's not. It's only really disturbing in its misogyny and the way Ellen had to endure the presence of these men that routinely assault her. I was happy for her when she died. I would've killed all of those men before letting them come near me.

Delusion for a Dragonslayer — if I had a dollar for every time the book tells a story of a misogynist, EA perpetrating man realizes what an asshole he is, I'd have three dollars. Which, for a book containing only like six stories, is a whole lot of dollars. Like, okay I get your point. At this point it feels like it's just looking for excuses to write SA scenes 😐

Writing has been fun though

Lonelyache. It was an interesting character study. But between this, the title story, and World of the Myth, the book really has at it at portraying asshole men that I couldn't help but wonder if the writer is just misogynistic lol. But World of the Myth and Lonelyache were conscious enough of just what assholes the male characters are that I'd let it slide.
