Alright so we're just not going to address the fact that her mother's behaviour was definitely abuse like legally

Banning abuse survivors from your shelter if they ever go back to their abuser is actually really horrible and would increase likelihood that people wouldn't be able to leave a second time (something that is already hard)

Okay so the protagonist's mom is a weird abuser who thinks men are the root of all evil

Like deliberately isolating your kid to one property and only letting them talk to women and girls who are on that property is abuse

Like idk why this guy is so surprised a person from Arizona would've had meatloaf and mashed potatoes

My parents made that and I'm from the north originally

Calling meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans a southern meal just bc it was served w cornbread is crazy to me
