I am pleasantly surprised. Usually when it comes to this types of decisions, the MFC is always ready to sacrifice herself and jump in but this one said NO! I love it. Pulled the rug underneath me. Kudos to you author for going the opposite direction!

LOL I thought this would be a more medieval setting but NO it’s in the modern world! I can deal with that, but it threw me off guard for a second.

Reading this to the soundtrack of Maleficent is peak. As summer transitions into autumn, this book is the perfect start to a spooky and whimsical season.
