It's a little confusing and I can't get into the story.

The storyline seems good. However, the countless number of grammar and punctuation errors are making it a bit hard for me to enjoy it like I want to.

And now it's worse. Get an editor! Okay, the author is pretty good about describing horror scenes, but the story is no more than a vehicle for these scenes. The author contradicts himself, losing the thread of his narrative, and this feels like a bunch of horror-genre vignettes. If you want well-described horror with an actual story, check out The Devouring series. I'm probably not finishing this book.

It's gotten a bit better, at least now I can figure out what the author is trying to do. However, this book is badly in need of an editor. Pronoun errors and point of view ambiguities abound. Also, another 30% read, another 5 faintings. That's 8 in total for those of you keeping track at home.

The author seems to be trying to tell about Romilly through rambling tangents told in the style of a tween talking to their friends. Cliches are everywhere. "He had piercing blue eyes and a chin that looked like it was cut from the hardest granite." Seriously? Also, it seems any time someone is freaked out, they faint. Or when the author doesn't want to find their way out if the hole they've dug. 3 times now.

Really scattered so far. The author seems to be trying to badly foreshadow events or do some sort of flashback/forward thing, but it is haphazard and just leaves the reader confused. I also don't feel like I know or care about the main character. Her life has been in jeopardy once already, but all I felt was that I wanted it to be over so I could figure out where the heck I was. Hope this gets better.
