I fail to see why the haters hate this so much (perhaps it all personal NYC grievance-grinding? Live far too far away to know or much care...)

I might have to DNF this one. This writing style is brutally painful. And if I read about the narrator sitting in the corner of that damn white couch one more time I might lose it. And I know it's coming.
