If I wasn't reading this for work, I'd DNF now, and never read a book written by an academic again. Does nobody proofread anymore? Is there no quality control? Are publishers scared of seeming problematic when the topic is this important? Whatever the cause, the result is badly written books, full of pretentious academic drivel, which overshadows the really important discussion.

UNI ACADEMIC WRITE A BOOK WITHOUT FAUX-INTELLECTUAL PLONKO-BABBLE AND PROOFREAD BEFORE PUBLICATION CHALLENGE [IMPOSSIBLE] [GONE WRONG]
Based on the first chapter alone, this book has some great ideas, but was nowhere near being ready for publication.
Also so, so tired of having to constantly have a dictionary open to understand academics saying the most simple stuff in the most unnecessarily complicated way.
