honestly not sure if I’ll finish this given how much I don’t like the author at this point - not because this is markedly different from what I expected, but because the author is sometimes self-righteous and rancorous and fairly off-putting as a result. I don’t agree with some of his views
after the intro & chapter 1 - but seeing as this is meant to be a Different look at things I shall hold my judgement.

Some of these chapters have me utterly gripped, others are very very dry. The variety of subject matters is lovely, but I think it shows where his passions are, based on how he writes about each of these concepts and how deftly he ties them into his central premise.

We just received an early copy of this at work and something about it just grabbed me. I am not familiar with Charles Foster, but as a concept, juggling geography, perspective, evolution, philosophy and movement... this could really tick some boxes - we shall see.
