Not sure what this book is about (the blurb on the back doesn’t do it justice) but I’m enjoying it!

I try not to select the next book in my Booker Longist stack with any purpose. I did purposefully select this book because I thought I would be a slough and wanted to get it over with. The writing is clean and quick, so I think the 211 pages will fly past.
What matters is not what's being said by why and how it's being said.

Well it gets better after part 1. Making me think about Knausgaard writing that “said” is always best, and I know she has read that too, somewhere. How many times can we say “said”?? I’ve read dialogue that has stunned me, in many styles, but this just tried way too hard to be clever - and failed. The following part came like a breath of air, without all the talk, but still not without its problems.
