Having a hard time buying Lyrick's character arc right now. There’s a massive gap between the synopsis's promise of a morally conflicted hero and the reality of his actions on the page. Recognizing that your society is oppressive means very little when you willingly participate in the violence without any pushback or genuine internal resistance. It’s giving heavy hypocrite energy instead of reluctant morally gray

I can’t decide if I love this or hate it. The plot and concept is super interesting but the characters are very immature and annoying 😅

This is a a10/10 by the way and if you can stomach it you should read it!!!!!!

Totally bummed there is only one more novel out by this author, which I will read as soon as I am done with this one

I can’t put this book down. The world building has been so amazing I would love to see the artwork that could come from it. The characters are amazing in that I hate them yet I’m so invested in their story line. The society is so complex. Not everything is as it seems. And where im at now it feels like a new twist comes every time I change the page. I’m already anxious about the cliff hanger I can sense!! 😂
