Coming Home was less of a horror story, and more of an exploration of what a father will do to protect his family. As a dad, I could resonate with the MC and his fear/anger at the situation and wanting to take matters into his own hands. There was just enough ambiguity in this one to leave me wanting more, but in a good way. - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Story #9 - Bad Shores - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really enjoyed this historical horror and the battle between the Roman solider and the whatever their foe was. Lots of gore in this one and a really neat story overall.

The 8th story in this collection, The Box Where All The Bad Things Go was a pretty good little story. I thought it was pretty vague at first and didn’t really make a ton of sense, but about 1/2 way through, things started clicking and I liked how this one ended.

Story time #7 - Empty Set ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really liked this story for the way the terror steadily increased throughout until the bleak ending. & there was football so that was fun too lol

Story #6 - L1N might have been the most chilling of the stories so far. I think it resonated with me more than others since we're new-ish parents as well.

Anyhoo, this one was very creepy and gory and a great read.

Story #5 - Isolate & Feed was a pretty solid mashup of Frankenstein/Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde & a zombie/werewolf film that, while not entirely original, was entertaining. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

So far this anthology is off to a strong start! Here's my quick review of the first 3 stories:

Very inventive story with a very cool "bad guy".
