This is how I arrived at this definition of church hurt: *any unrepentant sin that is minimized, normalized, or promoted by a church’s culture and its leadership.* A church’s culture is always shaped by the values, priorities, and theology of its leaders. This includes not only pastors, staff, elders, deacons, and board members, but also those in unofficial positions of influence.

“When the body of Christ wrongfully shames you, it can feel as though the very foundation of your faith has been shaken. But even here, Christ meets you. He sees your suffering. He lifts your head.”
Psalm 3:3 But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. 🙌

Appreciate the sensitive yet definitive perspective so far.
He doesn’t shy away from the legitimacy of this reality,, but also puts a definition with boundaries on the term, as he uses it.
