I am so glad I enjoyed this book. The writing reminded me so much of the early Juliette Cross books before the odd paranormal rom coms, etc. I’m so glad to see her returning to her earlier writing style. Her writing really sings with this book.

So far am pleasantly surprised by this book. The writing reminds me of early Juliette Cross with that edgy magic that made her voice unique. I didn’t enjoy the first book which felt like she was trying too hard to write a certain way which felt forced. For whatever reason, the writing is much better in this one. I’m glad I decided to give her writing a second chance.

So I’m liking this so much already .. this series gets better and better

I have started reading this and I am somewhat halfway through and I am not impressed.
Redvyr is no Gollaya Verbane, neither is Jess any kind of Una. Y'all... so far, this book is buns, as the kids say. Just insta lust here and there mixed in with magic that no one is explaining well. I am in a state of confusion.

This can't be the same Juliette Cross that wrote The Wraith King?? Has she been knocked over the head?
