Elle Brownlee's Holiday Sanctuary. A blizzard traps a hermit bird scientist and the inexperienced hiker who is actually a millionaire game developer over Christmas. Sparks (and more) ensue, but neither is capable of using their words to say "hey, this is fun, let's keep doing it". Not terrible but I found it boring

Just a few scenes in, & I'm wondering why MC2 is thinking of MC1 as the kid, the kid, the kid -- when it's been established that MC1 is 34 years old. How old is MC2 supposed to be, then? I'm not giving him permission to call anyone "kid" unless he's at least 54 himself. Turns out I'd gotten the two of them mixed up -- NOT a good sign when reading alternating POV. Apparently it's MC1 who is 34, & MC2 is early 20s.

Skipping ahead to the third and final story, because I have only a limited tolerance for Christmas stories and the middle one was the least favorably reviewed.

Story #1: Holiday Roommates by Tere Michaels
A vibrant, well-balanced story that plays out over the entire winter holiday season from Thanksgiving to New Year's Day. Full of stuff I normally wouldn't like, but the MCs were so charming that I was smitten.

I don't much care for short fiction (in the romance genre), and I have no interest in holiday stories at all -- so why am I reading this anthology?
If you figure it out, let me know.
In the meantime, I'm being thoroughly entertained by the first story, by Tere Michaels, even though I normally hate reading anything theater-related. So this is like a 3 strikes situation -- but I'm in instead of out.

Holiday Homecoming is a sugary sweet christmas romance without too much substance that became weirdly philosophical in the end. Parts of this story are witty and fun. I like how the MC bisexuality is handled. Otherwise this is light weight short story with a very pedictable happy ending.

Holiday Sanctuary ended up being a dnf for me. It was the tedious dialogue between the 2 MCs that killed it for me and lack of chemistry. Too bad because story had much potential and was otherwise nicely descriptive.

So far the best m/m holiday themed anthology to date. The first story is alone is worth the price of admission. Holiday Roomates is a lovely light hearted, sugary-sweet, chaotic romp through the holiday season. Loved it!

An unemployed actor and a struggling event manager. Well, starving is probably less miserable if you're not alone ;-)
