Status Updates From The Dog Park Murders

I already know this will be the cozy mystery of the season this fall. Here’s a teaser from chapter three demonstrating Angela Barker’s incredible talent for capturing the magic of a setting:
“The good days were crisp and sunny and tinted with the glorious burnished shades that made her heart sing. The bad days… well, they were soggier than a bowl of Frosted Flakes that sat too long in milk.”

She’s supposed to be solving a murder and while people are giving very valuable information she’s too focused on if people are flirting with the mmc. Sigh. This is gonna be a long investigation…….

An interesting read. It’s hard to put down between the slow burn romance (maybe) and the mystery, but I like that the mystery isn’t creepy.
