Status Updates From Strixhaven: Omens of Chaos ...

really really REALLY slow start in that I'm still not even sure we're out of the setup yet. but I think I know all the main characters and most of the setting now

So far, it’s a mostly straightforward Magic lore dump framed around five characters attending Strixhaven, Magic’s Hogwarts. Painfully dull for 65% of the novel while the author gets all the requisite Magic lore situated. Than, as the characters are allowed to be characters, it picks up. I don’t DNF NetGalley books, so I’ll have a final verdict soon.

The world building is very unique and is refreshing. Onto them going into the academy now
